Finally, my mom has 10 days off in-a-row. And despite knowing that she is using it to relax, she has promised me that we would go shopping for school when she has off. So today that’s what I did
At noon, we left the house, and hopped on the turnpike. After driving for 35 miles, we got off in Streetsboro, and turned on to route 43. Just a few miles ahead was Aurora Farms Premium Outlets, located in Aurora, Ohio.
There, I went to Subway for lunch and had a delicious turkey + lettuce on six-inch wheat bread sandwich, and drank apple juice ๐
Afterwards we walked along to go to Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, which is an outlet format of Saks Fifth Avenue. There were some dress shoes that I liked Cole Haan, but they were too expensive, and I needed to use money wisely.
Afterward, we went to DKNY Jeans Outlet, where I found jeans that were originally $69.99 on sale for $29.99! So, of course I got them.
Then I went to Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, where I found boxer briefs one white and one grey. They were $12 each, but you save $6 when you buy two, and had 15% off coupon. So it was around $12 for both. Good Deal.
After that, we went to the GAP Outlet, where I found jeans that were $34.99, but the store-wide special was 30% off each jeans. The new price was $24.50 , so I got those.
Then we looked around at some other stores, my mom went into the Crocs Store while I walked around making obnoxious insults on the brand. bhahaha :b
So I had two pairs of jeans, and two boxer shorts. I wanted shoes, so we adventured our way to Nordstrom Rack, which is the outlet version of Nordstrom. Nordstrom Rack is located in Beachwood, Ohio within Legacy Village, down the street from Beachwood Place, which features the actual Nordstrom department store.
At Nordstrom Rack, I didn’t find the shoe style (which was loafers), that I wanted. However I found Body Glove brand sunglasses that were originally $45.00 on sale just for $9.99! I bought them.
After, we went into Crate & Barrel, which is my favourite home store. They have furniture, home decor, kitchen goods, and etc. Of course I wasn’t furniture shopping, but it gave me ideas. I bought chocolate chip pound cake mix though ๐
After that, we went to Restoration Hardware, which is a home store that smells like wood. Not my favourite, but it’s pretty decent.
Across the street was Joseph-Beth Booksellers, where I bought France Magazine. I also found a Paris 2010 calendar with vintage posters featured, as well as a French children’s book, written in English. Christmas present ideas already xD
After all of that, we went to Bahama Breeze, a Bahama-Island themed restaurant. Which I had Oak-Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was moist chicken on a toasted sandwich roll with lettuce and citrus mayonnaise. For my side dish I chose the fruit-dish, which had grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and a dollop of mango sorbet on top. Yum-O! My entree w/fruit only cost $7.99, and my ice tea was about $2.49. My mom also got jerked-Jamacian chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. That was $11.99. So in total for the both of us, our visit was about $24.00 including tax. Great service, and amazing food. I strongly suggest you visit!
After eating, we went to Super Kmart, in Parma, Ohio to make a payment on the printer in lay-a-way. We eventually went to DSW shoe warehouse, then Famous Footwear, then World Market.
Favourite quotes of the day:
01.) “She be cheatin on muh man w/ hur chicken tetrazzini!” – Me
02.) “oh jeez – [followed by panting noise]” – Me
03.) “Can I go home, my kidneys hurt” – Kmart cashier lady.
So as you can see, a long day. But, refreshing none the less.
I don’t get to go shopping and actually get things as often as I used to, so spending time with my mom was nice. Especially considering she paid for all my purchases, so I paid for dinner.
My favourite day of the entire summer, finally.
The End ~
