For some reason, I cannot wrap seem to wrap around my little brain why people think they are better than me.

Why is it so important for you to act like you are any better than I myself?

Is it due to your lack of confidence and need to strive off of others misfortune, or maybe it’s because you cannot see past your nose?

Whichever, I could care less. Your opinion has no influence on me, I’ll continue to be who I am, while you run around playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Harder, faster, better, stronger

Finally, my first week of school is now over. It’s the weekend, and I have 3 full days to enjoy. It’s nice though, to see most of my friends again, and my classes are not bad either. However, my locker is far away from my classes, and it sucks.

This year is a new year, it’s senior year. More homework (not yet), more responsibility, and more fun (hopefully).

But as for myself, I’m still changing.

I’ve been trying this thing, called “being myself”, it’s something you should try sometime. It’s amazing, and plus you don’t have to worry about what other people think, because it doesn’t matter.

Just a few more months until I am an adult, when I turn 18.

And also, if everything goes smoothly, I will have my license soon.

So, that is all for today. Just  a simple “I haven’t quit this blog” update. hah.

Au Revoir~

Heartless

It’s different, there really isn’t an exact emotion to describe this at all.

You pulled me into your tide, and then you dropped me and I floated away. Refreshing, you were.  Caring, compassionate, genuine. At first I thought to myself “oh they are not mad, they are just dealing with something more important right now”, so I was fine. But then I figured out that I was being ignored. So, I thought I could just walk away and pretend nothing happened.

And for the few days, everything returned to what it was.  I did what I had to do, and I was just fine.

Until I found, there is a piece missing, and it’s missing from my heart.

What a clever trick, you have done to me.  Because even though you may ignore my attempts to talk to you, I just can’t get over you.

And so, I guess I’ll go back to life. But with that said, I will never feel the same.

“Broken hearts are what give us strength, understanding,
and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and
sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.”

Shop Around

Finally, my mom has 10 days off in-a-row. And despite knowing that she is using it to relax, she has promised me that we would go shopping for school when she has off. So today that’s what I did

At noon, we left the house, and hopped on the turnpike. After driving for 35 miles, we got off in Streetsboro, and turned on to route 43. Just a few miles ahead was Aurora Farms Premium Outlets, located in Aurora, Ohio.

There, I went to Subway for lunch and had a delicious turkey + lettuce on six-inch wheat bread sandwich, and drank apple juice :)
Afterwards we walked along to go to Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, which is an outlet format of Saks Fifth Avenue. There were some dress shoes that I liked Cole Haan, but they were too expensive, and I needed to use money wisely.

Afterward, we went to DKNY Jeans Outlet, where I found jeans that were originally $69.99 on sale for $29.99! So, of course I got them.

Then I went to Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, where I found boxer briefs one white and one grey. They were $12 each, but you save $6 when you buy two, and had 15% off coupon. So it was around $12 for both. Good Deal.

After that, we went to the GAP Outlet, where I found jeans that were $34.99, but the store-wide special was 30% off each jeans. The new price was $24.50 , so I got those.

Then we looked around at some other stores, my mom went into the Crocs Store while I walked around making obnoxious insults on the brand. bhahaha :b

So I had two pairs of jeans, and two boxer shorts. I wanted shoes, so we adventured our way to Nordstrom Rack, which is the outlet version of Nordstrom. Nordstrom Rack is located in Beachwood, Ohio within Legacy Village, down the street from Beachwood Place, which features the actual Nordstrom department store.

At Nordstrom Rack, I didn’t find the shoe style (which was loafers), that I wanted. However I found Body Glove brand sunglasses that were originally $45.00 on sale just for $9.99! I bought them.

After, we went into Crate & Barrel, which is my favourite home store. They have furniture, home decor, kitchen goods, and etc. Of course I wasn’t furniture shopping, but it gave me ideas. I bought chocolate chip pound cake mix though :)

After that, we went to Restoration Hardware, which is a home store that smells like wood. Not my favourite, but it’s pretty decent.

Across the street was Joseph-Beth Booksellers, where I bought France Magazine. I also found a Paris 2010 calendar with vintage posters featured, as well as a French children’s book, written in English. Christmas present ideas already xD

After all of that, we went to Bahama Breeze, a Bahama-Island themed restaurant. Which I had Oak-Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was moist chicken on a toasted sandwich roll with lettuce and citrus mayonnaise. For my side dish I chose the fruit-dish, which had grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and a dollop of mango sorbet on top. Yum-O! My entree w/fruit only cost $7.99, and my ice tea was about $2.49. My mom also got jerked-Jamacian chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. That was $11.99. So in total for the both of us, our visit was about $24.00 including tax. Great service, and amazing food. I strongly suggest you visit!

After eating, we went to Super Kmart, in Parma, Ohio to make a payment on the printer in lay-a-way. We eventually went to DSW shoe warehouse, then Famous Footwear, then World Market.

Favourite quotes of the day:
01.) “She be cheatin on muh man w/ hur chicken tetrazzini!” – Me
02.) “oh jeez – [followed by panting noise]” – Me
03.) “Can I go home, my kidneys hurt” – Kmart cashier lady.

So as you can see, a long day. But, refreshing none the less.
I don’t get to go shopping and actually get things as often as I used to, so spending time with my mom was nice. Especially considering she paid for all my purchases, so I paid for dinner.

My favourite day of the entire summer, finally.

The End ~

Bon Voyage

Summer, it comes slowly, but leaves faster than lightning. Even though I have one more week of summer vacation to enjoy, I am already focusing on reality. The reality of it, is that it’s time to break into routine schedule again. Senior year is fast approaching for me. Soon I will be getting my license (finally!), then senior photos in October, applying for scholarships and student loans, and working hard to establish good grades towards GPA. Being a senior will have its perks, but it will be sad all the same. High School has already gone by fast, and this year will probably be just as fast as the years previously. I find it amazing how much I’ve learned this summer.

I’m not trying to believe in stereotypes, but people really are cold hearted. I’ve made several new friends, and only a few out of those remain in the place. I thought that I had also made a best friend, but it is becoming more and more obvious that they do not have any time for me. Not that I want attention, nor that I am the most important person in the world, but not talking to a close friend for a week screams “I’m your friend, but I really don’t care about you right now, kthx”.

Oh well, I’m not going to dwell in the issue. Besides, with school starting again, I will be able to see my real friends, which is the only reason why I am looking forward to going back :)

So bon voyage summer, and goodbye dreams. Time for reality, leave your fictions behind.

The Soloist

Life is full of the unexpected. We hope everyday for things to go our way, but they never seem to happen just as such. After watching this movie I was enlightened.

We always ask for more, that is our problem. More money, more friends, more success. But we tend to neglect the fact that we should be grateful for what we already have.

Our health. We can walk, speak and think efficiently to achieve a goal that we need to obtain.

Our home. A place to stay warm in the cold winters, and cool in the brutal summers. Our home protects us from not only the elements, but from others who may want to bring upon harm to us.

Our friends and family. They are there for us when we go through our best and worst moments. You win a award, they celebrate. You fall down, and they pick you back up.

As for the movie, I won’t tell you what the story is about, because that would be defeating the purpose. The movie itself is not something to watch just because you are bored and need to be entertained. Perhaps, it is something more than just a movie; it’s wisdom, and it comes in a thin DVD disc form.

Watch it. And be thankful for who you are and what you have, instead of who you are not and what you want.

Priorities

School is starting again soon, it makes me cringe like nails on a chalk bored to be honest.  Summer is still here, but unfortunately it is time that I force my self to focus on more important matters.

Sleeping habits. Usually I go to bed around 3A, and then wake up around noon.  It’s nice because when I do go to bed then, I fall asleep quickly.  So, in an attempt to force myself into a schedule, I went to bed at midnight. Or should I say tried? My mind would not settle, so I ended up not falling asleep until 2A or so. And then I woke up at noon, as usual.

Laptop. I’m afraid I have been giving it too much attention (if that is possible), so I’ll try to cut back time spent on it. Considering once school starts, I’ll either be too busy or too tired to go online as often as I do now.

Organization. I am usually really good when it comes to organizing. I consider really good when I can find everything I am looking for. However I realize once school starts I might get unorganized, which considering this is my last year of high school, I should try to keep up with it.

Myself.  I need to start cooking dinner more often, and cleaning the house. After all, it is just me and Luda here for the most part, so cleaning and cooking shouldn’t be that hard. Considering the fact that he stays clean for the most part, I’d just be cleaning while he runs in terror of the vacuum cleaner. Bahah

And so, due to the lack of comments, I am going to ask you a few questions that you can comment this blog with your response :)

Questions for comments:

01.) How do you feel about school starting again?

02.) Are you preparing yourself for school?

03.) What was your favourite part of summer 09′ ?
